69, of Aiea, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2020 at home after a long battle with cancer.Born February 17, 1951 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Fumio and Aiko Kawachi, Karl graduated from Aiea High School in 1969. He began his career producing music, later ran his own business as a car audio manufacturer representative for 31 years. Karl enjoyed traveling to Japan with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Phyllis, daughters Sarah (Bradely) and Kelly, brother Thomas (Sandy) Kawachi, sister Lydia (Richard) Beaton, and many nieces and nephews.
His wishes to spread his ashes in the ocean in Kaaawa will be done at a later date in a private ceremony.
