WALLACE KOON LEONG CHING
Wallace Ching passed away on March 17 from complications of Parkinson's disease. Born in Honolulu Hawaii, he graduated from MIT and the U of Md where he received his PHD in electrical engineering. He was proud to spend the bulk of his career supporting the work of the US Navy in undersea weapons and held several patents for his work. He was part of the science advisory team on the USS Blueridge in Yokosuka Japan and a member of The Technical Cooperation Program which promoted international collaboration. Loved by his family Wally is survived by his wife Edith, children Alexander Ching (Mary Anna Denman), Andrew Ching, Christina Ching (Joe Meinking) grandchildren John William Denman Ching and Caitlin Marie Ching and brothers Norman, Franklin and Clinton Ching and sister- in-law Barbara Sprenger. In his memory donations may be made to The Parkinson's Foundation, the Equal Justice Initiative or a charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
