Janette Masako Minami
It has been about a year since the passing of Jan, a loving wife, mother and friend. She left us with many memories and a long legacy of accomplishments. She passed away on March 29, 2020 just as the pandemic started. We were unable to hold a public service so a small private one was held. The hope was to have a memorial service on the first anniversary of her death. Sadly, this is still not possible so we now will not have one at all. From her humble beginning in Makawao, Maui she moved to Honolulu after high school where she attended business school and worked at various places doing accounting and finished her work career as a banker. After leaving the work force she became a housewife and a preacher of the good news. She leaves behind Clarence, her husband of 52 years, and sons Thomas and David. She was predeceased by son Timothy. She also leaves behind several siblings residing in Southern California, brothers George and Charles, sisters Miyo and Alice and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. We miss her dearly for her ever persistent smile and her joy for life. Her love, compassion, warmth and caring ways will forever be etched in our lives
