Stanley Toshio Shiraki of Kailua, passed away on April 23, 2020. Born in 1943, Stanley grew up in Kaimuki, graduating from St. Louis School in 1961. He graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Business Administration. He was a career Hawaii State government employee serving as the Director of Budget and Finance and Director of Taxation.Stanley was a sports enthusiast. He was an active golfing and hiking participant and an avid University of Hawaii football, baseball, and volleyball fan. Karaoke was his passion which he shared for years with good friends and colleagues.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon, his son, Travis, and daughter, Robyn. Also surviving are his elder brother, Earl (Barbara), sister-in-law, Linda, and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on April 20, 2021 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Interment to follow at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl.
