Anthony Thomas Kaleilani Ho
Anthony Thomas Kaleilani Ho, 61, passed away peacefully under hospice care on Easter Sunday, April 4, at his home in Kapahulu, surrounded by his family. He was born in Honolulu, and is survived by his husband and best friend of 41 years Richard "Rick" Icenogle, mother Matilda, brother Owen, niece Michele Zablan Weaver (Norman), nephew Brian Zablan (Kelly), and numerous aunties, cousins, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, as well as his Icenogle 'Ohana on the Mainland, who adored him. He was predeceased by his father Frank, his brother Frank Jr., and his sister Frances "Nani" Zablan. Tony was a graduate of Kaimiki High School, and worked as a server at 12th Ave. Grill, having worked previously at 3660 on the Rise, Kaka'ako Kitchen, and the Maui Intercontinental. Tony embodied the spirit of aloha. His smile, warmth and wit endeared him to his guests and coworkers. He made new friends where ever he went. His heart was full of love for his family, his friends, and his animals, especially his dogs. He spent countless hours nurturing the plants in his yard. He loved to travel, especially to Chicago and New York, where he never tired of exploring new restaurants, taking in Broadway shows, and shopping for clothes that made just the right fashion statement. He loved Hawaiian music, and swimming at Kaimana beach. He was a devoted husband, and a loving son who took extraordinarily good care of his mother. Services will be held at Diamond Head Memorial Park on Tuesday, April 20. Friends are invited to pay their respects at the chapel from 11:30 to 1:30, and to join his family for his burial at 2:00. Mask and distancing requirements must be maintained in the chapel and throughout the Memorial Park.
