100, passed away on October 13, 2020 at the care home of Girlie Birgonia. She was born on April 2, 1920 in Palolo, Oahu. She was the third child born to Kumaji and Kaneyo Sato. She retired as a butcher's clerk at the Ewa Shopping Basket.Kume was preceded in death by her husband Hiroshi Kojima; parents Kumaji and Kaneyo Sato, sisters Agnes Yawata, Alice Boyd, and Hisayo Yamaki, and son in law Lyle Kajihara.
Kume is survived by daughters Jocelyn (Leslie) Mokulehua, Audrey Kajihara, Lynette (Ben) Taba, 4 grandchildren (Neal Kajihara, Lynn (Garrett) Yamada, Lisa (Brent) Hackelton, Thomas (Thao) Mokulehua), 5 great grandchildren (Cade and Kendyll Yamada, Liam Hackelton, Chase and Skye Mokulehua), sister Taeko Sugimoto of San Jose, Ca., numerous nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank Girlie and Alex Birgonia, Kurtis Iwata, Donna Llamas, Riri Hirata, Clifford Manzano and Rowena Rivera for their love and care for our mom.
