FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Deanie Gannon
Deanie Nola White Gannon, 93, of Parker, Colorado, died on December 2, 2020. She was born April 26, 1927 in Childress, Texas, to parents Earl and Nola (Quattlebaum) White. She grew up on a farm with her two brothers and two sisters in Childress County where her father owned a small gas station and store in town. She graduated valedictorian and lettered in basketball at her high school. After graduation she worked as a shoe model, in the local drug store and at Pangburn's Candies with her sister. She met the love of her life, Vincent Gannon, who was stationed at the Childress Army Air Field as a Bombardier Pilot. They were married in Illinois in 1946. They were together for 58 years and had 2 daughters. They traveled the world during his 32 year military career, retiring in Honolulu, Hawaii. Vincent preceded her in death on October 31, 2004. Soon after, she moved to Colorado to be with most of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Deanie was a lifetime participant and member of the Military Officer's Wives Club and Military Officer's Association. She was also an active member of strong faith at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Her activities included travel, bridge, bingo, arts & crafts, volunteerism and her Siamese cats.
She is survived by daughters Debra Gannon (Bob) Neuberger and Diana Underwood (George) Toth; seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother Pearl White, 3 brothers, Glen Earl White ( Pvt ), W.E. and Nolan White, 4 sisters, Verdis Dorsett, Lucille Moore, Helen Earline Dement and Mary Ann Mitchell. Brother-in-law Lowell Dement, sister-in-law Pat White.

The family is holding a private burial service today, April 26, 2021 at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl. Donations suggested to Alzheimer's Association, Colorado Chapter or St. Francis Hospice, Honolulu.
