She is predeceased by her loving husband, Kenneth, and her older sisters Amy Lee and Jean Sakuma. She is survived by loving family members from the Sakuma, Kidani, Itoga, and Hasegawa ohana as well as her hanai niece Chie and her trusted caregiver Crusela.
By her own admission prior to her passing, she recognized that she lived a full and wonderful life, enjoying her time with husband Kenneth, the enrichment gained from her close family ties, the eternal love of her sisters, and those numerous trips to Las Vegas. She left us fulfilled and at peace.
She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and strong family values. And although she had no children of her own, she loved and adored her many nephews, nieces, and grand-nephews and nieces as her own and treated them all with her encompassing love. She never forgot the birthdays of family and friends and always acknowledged acts of kindness with "thank you" in voice or card.
A short private Celebration of Life service will be held on May 8, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Hosoi Mortuary.
