Raymond Kwai Tong Lui
Raymond Kwai Tong Lui, 88, of Honolulu, Hawaii, died peacefully at Straub Hospital on April 19, 2021. He was born to Daisy and Akana Lui in 1933 in Honolulu grew up around Kalihi. He graduated in 1950 from Farrington High School and joined the US Army where he served with the 101th Airborne and 3rd Armor in Germany. After leaving the US Army, he graduated from the New York Technical Institute in Kapalama and was hired by Hawaiian Electric Company (HECO) where he retired as the Senior Electrician in Charge of HECO Facilities. Raymond is survived by his son Kendall; daughter Karen; step-sisters Jean and Judy; step-brother Andrew; grand- sons Beren, Jared and Marcus and granddaughter Jessica. Due to COVID restrictions and need for social distancing, the Lui Family regrets that the services and burial will be private. The Lui Family is very thankful to family and friends who have called and/or written with their offers of support and condolences.
