Of Kaneohe, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2021, at the age of 87 at Navian Hawaii, Kailua. He was born on April 28, 1933, in Honolulu. Ed was an alumnus of the class of 1951 at Farrington High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after graduating from high school. He was an equipment engineer with the Hawaiian Telephone Company and retired in 1987 from the company after 30 years. Ed enjoyed preparing all kinds of food for family meals and also for extended Ohana on special get-togethers. Ed is survived by his wife, Joan Karimoto; son, Glenn Karimoto; daughter, Gail Pang; and sister, Shirley (Kenneth) Yamamoto. Preceded in death by parents, Clement and Thelma Karimoto; and brother, Harold (Jean) Karimoto. Private services were held at Nuuanu Mortuary Park.
