Surrounded by his loving family, Jeff Yamashita, 81, passed peacefully at home in Waipahu on April 5, 2021. Eldest of 3 boys, Jeff was born April 2, 1940, in Honolulu, Hawaii, grew up in Palama, graduated Farrington HS 1958 & attended UW in Seattle with a partial swimming scholarship. Senior Pastor of Waianae Assembly of God for 33 years, retired Honolulu Police detective and proudly served the City & County of Honolulu and State of Hawaii in law enforcement for over 50 years.
Jeff is survived by the love of his life & wife of 55 years, Barbara;
4 children: Eric Yamashita (Patty), Lehua Nani Rabang (Matt), Scot Yamashita (Jenny) & Maile Aden (Jeff); 11 grandchildren;
3 great-grandchildren; brother Lincoln Yamashita (Linda), and large extended family. Preceded in death by mother Eunice Gee, father Harold Yamashita, stepfather Robert Gee & brother Larry Yamashita.
Jeff's hope was that everyone he interacted with would have a relationship with our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ and meet up with him again in Heaven! Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
