He graduated from McKinley High School in 1942. After serving in the Army, he worked as an electrician and later became an estimator with Halfhill Electric Company. As a member of the IBEW Local 1186, he was active in the Mountain Ball League, and the Electrical Workers Bowling League. He received his IBEW 75-year pin and certificate in 2020.

Their ballroom dance lessons were put to good use on the cruises they used to take. Throughout his working and retirement years, Ken was a regular at Kam Bowl, and bowled into his early 90's, bowling with the Aikane Friday Mixed Handicap League at Leeward Bowl.
Ken is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty; sons, Guy and Tod (Donna); brother, Thomas "Tabo" (Nancy), and nieces and nephews.
