FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Shizue Yamashita Hedani
Shizue "Jenny" Yamashita Hedani, 85, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2021 under the loving care of Maria and Sonny Dingle with assistance from Bristol Hospice. Private services held.

Shizue was born May 13, 1935 to Toyozo and Juto (Honda) Yamashita. She is predeceased by brothers, Hitoshi, Kiyoharu, and Chikara.

Jenny attended Maui High School and enjoyed fellowship with her close life-long friends and classmates at reunions in Las Vegas. She retired from the State of Hawaii Judiciary as an Estate and Guardianship Specialist for the 2nd Circuit Court. She also served as a Bailiff and Deputy Sheriff for the Maui District and worked in the Accounting Department at Maui Memorial Hospital. In her retirement, Jenny enjoyed ballroom dancing, ukulele classes, and social events living at Olaloa Retirement Community where she had many friends and neighbors.

Jenny is survived by sisters Susan Pang Ching and Judy Kohagura; sons Shane (Theresa) and Blaine; daughter Mona (Jason) Takara, and grandchildren Justin, Jenson, Reed, Blake, Jenna, and Shea, and many nieces and nephews.
