Robert "Uncle Bobby" Michael Dennehy, 82, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2021. He was born in Somerville, MA on January 12, 1939. He was a graduate of Deering HS in Portland, ME; class of 1958. Robert was voted the Mayor of Deering HS, most athletic, most friendly, and the class comedian. Robert moved to Hawaii as a young adult. He retired as a Federal Firefighter with 25 years of service, and went on to work alongside his wife Kay. They spent numerous years together making gardens beautiful for many. He was an avid college football fan and was often heard on local radio commenting on UH football. Uncle Bobby was a true Irishman. He loved everything Irish and celebrated his heritage proudly. Traveling to see family and friends brought him much joy. Robert is survived by 5 daughters, 13 grandchildren, and 20 great- grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister in MA, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend heartfelt love and appreciation to all his caregivers and supporters in his community.
