JAMES SABURO HARADA
89, of Honolulu, who retired from the City and County Building Department as Chief of Public Building, Planning and Construction Division, passed away peacefully at home on March 31, 2021 in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu, graduated from Farrington, the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, and a Master of Science Degree from the University of Illinois. Predeceased by parents Chozo and Shizuka Harada; sister Ruth and brothers Shigeo and William, he is survived by wife, Irene; daughters, Janice (Richard Ikehara) Harada and Joyce Harada; beloved grandson, Tyler; brother, Lawrence (Cindy) Harada; sisters, May (Walter) Takimoto, Florence Okano, Jane Harada; many nieces and nephews; and loyal pet, Lady. Private service will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific - Punchbowl.
