Miki Matsuno, 89, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2021. He graduated from Farrington High School, UH and USC with a Masters in Engineering. Miki was happily married to Amy for 65 years. Miki was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes to those around him and he had many friends who loved him. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, gentle smile and love for his family. Miki enjoyed golfing and painting, and his biggest pleasure was travelling, especially to Las Vegas in recent years. He loved rolling the dice on the craps table, playing the slots and eating at the buffets. Miki valued giving back to the community and was a charter member of the East Manoa Lions Club for 55 years. He is survived by wife Amy, son Mike (Stella Maxell), daughters Susan Soken (Patrick), Charlene Takeno (Brian Furuto) and 4 grandchildren (Sara, Mandy, Todd and Jace). Service will be held at Kalihi Union Church on Saturday, June 19 at 10:00 visitation and 11:00 service and it will also be live streamed.
