Age 87, of Honolulu, passed away on September 6, 2021. He was born on February 2, 1934 in Kakaako and raised in Kahuku and Honolulu. Charles played varsity basketball for Farrington High School, graduating in 1952. He was a retired plumber, as well as a lifelong Racing Pigeon and judo enthusiast. He enjoyed watching all sports, both on TV and in person.
Charles is survived by his loving wife and world-wide traveling companion, Thelma; sons: Derek (Darlene) of Waipahu, Clyde (Nadine) of Kapolei, Clayton of Honolulu, Mark of Honolulu and daughter Janice (Ron) Shestokes of Torrance, CA; 6 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He is also survived by brothers Brian, Edwin, and Walter, and sister Ruby Matsumoto.
