Richard is survived by son, Calvin Kuhns; lifetime partner, Shereen Sasaki; father, Richard Kuhns; mother, Puanani Race-Joaquin (Brocky); sisters, Nalani Kuhns English (Lois), Char-dai Race-Joaquin (Nani); brothers, Shawn Kuhns and Kole Race-Joaquin.
