David John Pratt "DJ" passed away at his home in Honolulu, Hawaii Sept. 7, 2021. He was a founding member of Kalapana and one of Hawaii's greatest guitarists of his generation, who helped set the foundation for contemporary Hawaiian music. DJ was humble, kind and generous. A true gentle soul. DJ is survived by his life-long partner Robyn Ota, brother Vernal Pratt, and half siblings: Steven Pratt, Vernal-John Pratt, Vernalani Keb, and Tiana Kong Pratt.
Service is scheduled for November 20, 2021 at Kawaiaha'o Church. Vaccination card and ID required.
Public Visitation 1:00 pm. Private Service due to restrictions will be held at 2:00 pm. A Live stream of the service will be available on Facebook Live. Scattering of DJ's ashes will take place on Nov 22, 2021 10:30 am at Dukes Beach
