74Richard and Fumiko were married in Washington D.C. on November 11, 1978. She was the author of weekly articles and several books about the US and Japan, the first of which won Japan's prestigious Oya Soichi Award for best nonfiction work.
Fumiko was preceded in death by her husband, Richard and stepson, Christopher Halloran. She is survived by her stepchildren, Laura Halloran Wilkason and Catherine Halloran Cook, and grandchildren: Colby Wilkason, T.J. Wilkason, Everett Cook, Anderson Cook, and Virginia Cook.
Contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Colorado, on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Wednesday, November 17th at noon.
