Heidi Ruth Keaopolohiwa Schuman
Heidi Ruth Keaopolohiwa Schuman 60, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday September 26, 2021 in Timnath, Colorado. She was born April 25, 1961, in Honolulu. She is preceded in death by her mother Frances Kupau Schuman and her father Dutch Schuman. Her great grandfather Gustav A. Schuman founded Schuman Carriage Company in 1893.
Heidi attended Punahou School, Class of 1979, graduated from the Bishop School in La Jolla, Ca. and attended the University of Hawaii.
Heidi was a brilliant woman of extraordinary talents, who was kind and thoughtful and funny and never met a "furry" friend that she did not take to her heart. Cody, her precious Irish Setter was her constant companion and brought her great joy. She called him her little "bear." Heidi also had a special place in her heart for Henry, Corey, George, and Hoover, Irish Setters that she cared for in the past.
Over the years, Heidi served as a personal assistant and secretary for Mr. & Mrs. Jack Lord. She was a Volunteer Coordinator and tour guide at the Queen Emma Summer Palace. She was also a personal assistant and production coordinator for Princess Poomai Kawananakoa. Heidi was also the office manager and personal assistant at the Craine Institute of Neuropsychogy and Rehabilitation. For eleven years Heidi served as a personal assistant and household manager for Michael O'Neill, Chairman of Citi Group, first in Honolulu, then in England and in Connecticut. For the past three years Heidi was a reservation agent for Alaska Airlines in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Heidi is survived by her two brothers, Richard (Diane) of Honolulu, Skip (Taryn) of Colorado, and sister, Duchess of Utah; nieces, Kaleolani, Kawena and Mahealani; nephews Philip and Alex.
