89, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully at home on October 6, 2021, surrounded by family members. She was born in Kona, Hawaii, graduating from Farrington High School and Honolulu Business College. She is preceded in death by husband of 64 years, Yoshiji Asami, who she met while working at Palama Settlement, eventually retiring after 35 years as a secretary at Hickam Air Force Base. In her later years, she enjoyed playing solitaire while watching UH sports on TV, attending grandchildren's sporting events and weekend rides around the island. She is survived by daughter, Claire Young; sons, Darrel Asami, Dale Asami; grand- sons, Marcus Asami, Brennan (Jaylicia) Young, Callan Young, Wyatt Young; great-grandchildren, Titus-Po'okela and Tayli Young; and thirteen nephews and nieces. Services were private.
