Ellen Carter Kaaluea Kino Fernandez was born May 17, 1930 in Honolulu, Hawaii to parents Cecelia Winchester and John Alonzo Kino. She had one brother, Dutchy, and two sisters, Aggie and Cece. She graduated from Farrington High School in 1949. Ellen married Charles Fernandez on January 28, 1950 and they were blessed with 4 children: Peggy Lou, Keith, Charles & Susan.
She passed on November 27, 2020 after a 4 year battle with Cancer at her home in Kaneohe, Hawaii.
Loved her family, cooking, sewing, crafts, collecting antiques, rug making, quilts, dolls, jams & jellies, pies & cakes, candies and many more ventures. Loved stew and curry with day old poi, her steak medium well and tender, salads, Sees Candy & red roses.
Loved to rise at 4:00 a.m. daily, have her coffee with lots of sugar and cream, then on to her many sewing projects or cooking and baking for the day...
A Super wife, mother & grandmother...
married almost 71 years before her passing...
She touched many people thru her special style and smile.
