Hanz Kane
Hanz KaneHanz Kane, 75, of 'Ewa Beach, O'ahu, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on Oct. 31, 2021. He was born to Tazoni Kane and Hattie Pavao (step-father Henry Gushikuma) on Oct. 3, 1946 in Honolulu, Hawai'i. He is survived by his wife Linda, daughters Malia and Kanoe (Sly), granddaughters Makana (Buddy), Malanai, Kawena'ula, grandson La'i Boy, his brother Shad (Val), sister Ehulani, and many cousins & life long friends. Hanz was a Vietnam Vet who served in the Navy. O'ahu was his treasured playground. He loved dirt-biking and fixing up hot rods, but his all time favorite past time was surfing. Hanz was proud to be Hawaiian. He was an "aloha 'aina" and Unexploded Ordnance Technician who worked to heal Kaho'olawe, Waikane, Waimanalo, Makua, Ma'ili, Lihu'e (Schofield), Waikoloa, Pohakuloa and other places. Celebration of Life and paddle-out is on La Ku'oko'a, Nov. 28, 2021 at 8am at "Courts," Ala Moana Beach Park ('Ewa side of the tennis courts). Bring your surfboards, loose flowers, Hawaiian flags, dances and stories to share with family and friends. Aloha kekahi i kekahi, malama kekahi i kekahi: please wear your masks.
