95, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2021. Hilly was born in Albany, New York on May 21, 1926 into a large extended family. Hilly's mother, Sadie, was the oldest of ten siblings. Hilly worked for many years at the Albany Medical Center. Hilly, along with husband Samuel, relocated to Honolulu in 1988 to be closer to their children and grandchildren and to exchange the harsh winters of New York for the year-round tropical climate of Hawaii. Hilly adapted quickly to her new environment and volunteered for many years at the Bishop Museum and Foster Botanical Gardens, while maintaining a beautiful home garden which surrounded their apartment in Manoa. Hilly was predeceased by husband, Samuel and brother, Martin Leo; and survived by sons, Richard, Steven and Jeffrey; four grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Final arrangements by Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary in Honolulu.
