Michelle Christine Moffat Cintrón, our beloved daughter and sister, passed away October 23, 2021 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
A local girl, Michelle affectionately known by her family as "Michi" and "Meesh" by her friends, graduated from Mid-Pacifi c Institute in 2013 where she lettered in Water Polo and Kayaking. She earned her BBA in Marketing at UH Manoa and completed a Semester at Sea traveling the world in Spring 2016. She was a young leader in Honolulu's advertising community. Michelle was a Project Manager and Digital Media Sales and Show Producer at Oahu Media Group.
Her career in the Hospitality Industry began when she was 16, serving at many different restaurants, Roy's Hawaii Kai, Sky Waikiki and most recently at Islands Grill before it closed.
Michelle lived life to the fullest, she loved animals, especially her two cats Blaze and Athena. Hobbies she enjoyed were working on her ceramics, cooking and creating new recipes. She loved to travel, having traveled extensively throughout Europe and visiting family in Puerto Rico and Japan whenever she could. She immersed herself in different cultures and embraced the rich diversity of the world especially during her Semester at Sea.
Michelle's free spirit, love and laughter will be missed by all she touched in her life. She is survived by her grandmother, Lillian Torres Cintrón, father, Kevin Cintrón, mother, Laura "Dutchy" Moffat-Cintrón, brother Ian Kevin Moffat Cintrón and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Carlos Cintrón, David and Catherine Yoshino Moffat.
The family invites all to attend her Memorial Service which will be held December 3, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Central Union Church, 1660 S. Beretania St. in Honolulu.
The service will be live streamed for family, friends, and Semester at Sea classmates in Puerto Rico, Japan, and on the mainland who are unable to attend in person.
