85, passed on November 11, 2021. Raised in Kalihi, he was a JROTC cadet, Farrington Class of 1954. He graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo as a commissioned 2nd Lt. and enlisted in the Army where he was part of the Signal Corps. His service took him to France, Vietnam, and the mainland east coast. After retiring as a Lt. Colonel he began a career at Hawaiian Tel, then SAIC as their Asia District Manager and lived in Okinawa for many years. He was a gracious man who enjoyed socializing, playing the ukulele and singing. He loved to laugh and always had a joke to share. Dan will be dearly missed by his wife Lily, his daughters Suzie Suzuki, Diane (Tom) Kamioka, and Christine (Michael) Yee, four granddaughters, and wife's children Katy, Scott, and Michael (Terri) Mathews, Cindy (Matt) Gaffney. Private services to be held at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. No koden please.
