FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

MASAKO NISHIMURA
Age 102, of Wahiawa, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 1st, 2021. She was born on June 28th, 1919 in Yamaguchi, Japan where she lived until the age of 5. She graduated from Leilehua High School in 1937 and worked for Ben Franklin Stores.

She was the mother of Richard (Pamela) and Pearl (Jack Wiedlin), grandmother of Darin, Damon, and Sara, and great-grandmother of 9. She loved sewing and sharing her quilts and crafts with her family and friends.

She is predeceased by her husband, Buster Tatsumi, and grandson Steven. She is also survived by her brother Junichi Kawamoto (Leila), sister Mary Matsumoto (Yoshio), sister-in-law Takeko Kawamoto, and many nieces and nephews. Masako's family is deeply grateful to her faithful caregiver Lynn.

Masako was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be missed dearly, but her positive spirit will remain with all of us. Private services were held. Her family requests no monetary gifts. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Wahiawa Hongwanji Mission.
