FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Roy Shigeru Takaki

Roy Takaki of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away at home on November 9, 2021 with his family at his side. He was born in Volcano, Hawaii on September 15, 1936, the youngest of the four adult children of Ray and Hirome Takaki. Roy grew up on the Big Island before moving to the big city of Honolulu to start his career, business, and family.

Roy leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Gail Takaki; his children Katherine Takaki (Calvin Nakatsuka) and Sharon (Clint) Morinaka; his grandchildren Craig and Richard Nakatsuka, and a beloved circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbors, fellow tradesmen, and dear friends. He touched many lives and his generous spirit will be sorely missed.

A celebration of Roy's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Hosoi Mortuary. Visitation: 1:00 p.m.
