Gilbert Tam Choy Wong was born in Honolulu on November 22, 1934 to Kam Ming and Eleanor Wong. He passed away on March 23, 2020. He is preceded in death by his son, Eric (Hazel) Wong, and survived by wife, Arlene, son, Marc (Lori Ann) Wong, daughter, Lauri Wong, grandsons Mason Wong, Aaron Wong, Justin Wong, and Bryce Wong, granddaughter, Kamalei Weaver, brothers Gordon (Winona) Wong of Kaneohe, Reginald (Nadine) Wong of Kaneohe, Roland (Eunice) Wong of Honolulu, Clifford (Li) Wong of Kaneohe, along with nieces and nephews. Gilbert retired from Castle & Cooke and later Financial Standards Group. He enjoyed spending time with family, volunteering, and traveling. Arlene Kwock Mui (Hee) Wong was born in Waimea on January 9, 1939 to Robert and Nora Hee. She passed away on January 27, 2021. She is preceded in death by her son, Eric (Hazel) Wong, sister, Jeanne (Laurence "Rusty") Leonard, and husband, Gilbert, and survived by son, Marc (Lori Ann) Wong, daughter, Lauri Wong, grandsons Mason Wong, Aaron Wong, Justin Wong, and Bryce Wong, granddaughter, Kamalei Weaver, sister Luanne (Steven) Pang of Los Angeles, along with nieces and nephews. Arlene retired from Heeia Elementary School. She enjoyed spending time with family, volunteering, and traveling.
Committal service is Monday, January 3, 2022 at 1000
at Kaneohe Veterans Cemetery.
