Grace Yukiye Hidano died peacefully on November 24, 2021, at 101 years old (2 months shy of 102), surrounded by her sons. She was born to Sogoro Niimoto and Kikuyo Endo Niimoto on January 15, 1920, in Honolulu, HawaiiGrace is survived by sons Steven (Audrey), Bruce (Cherylene) and Don (Yvonne) Hidano; daughter-in-law Patricia Hidano; ten grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noboru Hidano, her son, Roy Hajime Hidano, and by her siblings, brothers: Raymond, Thomas, and James Niimoto and sisters: Mitsue Matsushita Kanai, Violet Niimoto, and Nancy Nakagawa.
Grandma Grace was a hard worker, strong-minded, and very family-oriented. Originally a housewife caring for her four sons, then employed at Hidano Construction, Inc for many years running errands with the company's pick-up truck into her 90's until her eye doctor told her not to drive anymore.
