Patsy Yamauchi Taira, 75 of San Jose, CA passed away on March 8, 2021. She attended Waipahu High School, class of 1963 and the University of Hawai'i. Pat lived most of her life in San Jose, CA and retired as a Manager from JC Penney. She was an active retiree and Grandmother. Enjoyed Ikebana classes, volunteer work with Literacy of Santa Clara and meeting with her friends for drinks and lunches.She is survived by her son Brent (Star) Taira, daughter Kim (Bart) Vostermans, mother Yaye Yamauchi, sisters Adele Takamoto, Judy Yamauchi (Sue Kishimori), grandchildren Kai Vostermans, Grace Taira, Kiana Vostermans, nieces Justine & Kristin Takamoto and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Taira and father Kenkichi Yamauchi.
A private celebration of life was held at Nuuanu Memorial Park in August 2021. Pat was interred to rest at The National Cemetery of the Pacific with her husband Mel.
