82, of Keaau, HI, died at home on Wednesday, November 30. She was born in Honolulu, HI and was a retired front desk clerk at the Hilton Hawaiian Village on Oahu. Services will be held at Borthwick Mortuary Mauka Chapel on January 14, 2023 at 10:30 am. She is survived by her husband James Avilla of Keaau, HI; son Derrick Scharsch; daughters Rhonda (Freddie) Yadao, Rochelle McFarlane and Laurie Henriques; brothers Carter (Francine) Wong, Stephen Wong, Von Scott (Monique) Wong, and Terence Young; sister Sundra Ornellas, aunties, uncles, numerous grand- children and great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
