FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Katie Kaoru Ibaraki

98, passed away on December 11, 2022 at her residence care home in Kaimuki. She was born in Honolulu on February 19, 1924 and was a retired full-time bookkeeper for the Honolulu Rapid Transit. She also worked part-time at Tahitian Lanai, Fisherman's Wharf and Sea Vue Grocery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Yoshio and Chiyono Kawaguchi, her sisters Marjorie Kawaguchi and Nina Sato and husbands Harry Shishido and Robert Ibaraki.

She is survived by sisters Nancy Young, and Anne Nakamura; daughters Kathleen Nishimura, Sonia (Calvin) Yoshino, Tertia (Chris) Freas, Fay (James) Benagni; and step-daughters Linda (David) Tomlin, Dawn (Lester) Naohara, and Georgeann (Frank) Gobel, 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grand- children, and 3 great-great- grandchildren.

Private services will be coordinated by Nuuanu Morturary where Katie will be at rest with Robert.
