Arthur loved sports. He lettered in baseball and encouraged his children to participate in sports as well. He enjoyed helping coach girls' softball and took pride in each player's accomplishments. He also loved attending his grandchildren's volleyball and baseball games.
Arthur was a global traveler and visited almost every continent. His favorite country was China, which he visited five times. He also enjoyed traveling in the U.S., from Fairbanks to New Orleans and from California to New York, and many points in between. When he was free, he took trips to his second home, Las Vegas, where he made many lasting friends.
He is survived by his wife Gladys; daughter Collette (Dr. Eric) Chung; son Colin (Wendy); daughter Cindi; grandchildren: Justin Himori, DPT, Maxen Chung and Caitlin Himori. Also survived by sister Gail Kohama of Maui and brother Roy (Ellen) Himori of Hilo, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
