An alum of Linfield College in McMinnville, Ore., and a Linfield Athletics Hall of Fame member, Dennis C. Anderson, 84, died Jan. 12, 2022 (year is correct), in Salem, Ore. His research discovered Linfield's national streak of consecutive winning football seasons. During 50-years plus as a journalist, he worked on California and Hawai'i newspapers. In 1987, he created the Honolulu Advertiser's popular "Hawai'i Homegrown Report," in which he reported on the thousands of student-athletes from Hawai'i at Mainland colleges, including Linfield.
