FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Ruby Hiroko Arasato
Ms. Ruby H. Arasato, 80, passed on May 27, 2020, in American Canyon, CA after her valiant battle with non Hodgkin's lymphoma and Alzheimer's disease. She is survived by two daughters, Stacy Kam, and grandsons Kalani, Koa and Kainoa Higa, of Gardena and Michele (Rick) Alemania and grandsons Devin Kam, Ricky Jr., Brandon and Riley Alemania and great-granddaughters Catalina and Camila of Fairfield, CA.

Ruby was a member of Gardena Baptist Church, a retiree from the State of California, Department of Transportation, Caltrans freeway planning system, a member of the Nomura Ryu Sanshin Club, and the Majikina Aiko Dance Group. Ruby was born and raised in Honolulu, HI, daughter of Thomas and Mildred Kobashikawa, deceased. She is dearly missed by siblings Peter (Mary) Kobashikawa of Camarillo CA, Fred Kobashikawa of Providence, RI and Leilani (Dennis) Agena of Honolulu HI. She also leaves many cousins and relatives in Honolulu and her loyal "Joy Luck" friends in California where she resided for sixty years. Ruby's final wish was to be interred with her parents in Honolulu, Hawaii. Burial service on January 20, 2023, at 10:30 AM, Oahu Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
