Age 87, Vivian Pok Nyo Park passed away on June 25, 2022. She worked as a seamstress, an appliance office manager and a school clerk. Vivian enjoyed playing the piano, dancing, cooking and coaching softball. Private services were held.Age 90, Clarence Chai Wha Park passed away on December 22, 2022. He worked as a draftsman for the City Planning Department, served as a captain in the Vietnam War and retired as a colonel for the Hawaii Army National Guard. Clarence enjoyed playing golf, dancing and cooking.
Clarence and Vivian enjoyed hosting family gatherings, always looked forward to their trips to Las Vegas, supported their children in their careers and endeavors and especially loved spending time with their grandchildren.
Clarence is survived by son Michael (Julie); daughter Diane (Kong Tan); grandchildren: Jodi, Jason (Shiyoon) and Jensen; sister Florence Kaukola, brother Carl Park (Charlotte).
Services for Clarence will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Hawaiian Memorial Park. Visitation will be at 11:30 a.m. and service will start at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe at 2:00 p.m. Please RSVP your attendance by January 22nd, to: parkfamily83@gmail.com.
