CALVIN N. A. WERNER
CALVIN N. A. WERNER Calvin Nunu Antone Werner was called home to the Lord on October 15, 2022, after a long battle with lung disease. Nunu was born on November 2, 1941, in Nanakuli. He was the oldest of 8.
On December 5, 1970, he married Barbara Lyn Brooks, and they started their family in Nanakuli before moving to Wahiawa and finally settling in Kailua. Nunu, (a father of four) and Barbara (a mother of 10) helped foster children and others throughout the years.
Nunu served in the US Army and upon his return, he was a dispatch operator for US Pipe & Foundry before he became a union organizer for the ILWU. He spent the remainder of his career helping the working people of Hawaii until he retired in 2004. Nunu & Barbara enjoyed their golden years traveling to Las Vegas and spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nunu is survived by his wife Barbara; his children: James "Kimo" (Jackie) Werner, Roy (Kathy) Werner, Clesson (Emi) Werner, Shon (Cortney) Flores, Kalani (Naly) Werner, Chad (Michelle) Castro, Cane Castro, Sharisse (Jeff) Kaiawe, Vickey Barajas, Lisa (Ryan) Torricer Ladao; 30 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; his siblings: Lei Cano, Keala Rodrigues, Kimo (Leilani) Werner, Charles (LeeAnn) Mahuka, John Mahuka and many nieces & nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023,
at Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary, Mauka Chapel
from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
