Wayne Kazuo Masuda passed away at the age of 64 in Kailua on November 27, 2022.He was born on January 3, 1958 in North Kona on the Big Island. After 30 years of working at the Honolulu Fire Department, he retired as Battalion Chief at the end of 2020. He also worked part time as a PE teacher at Lanikai Elementary.
Wayne is survived by his wife Loralyn, daughters Alyssa Masuda, Nicole Edwards-Masuda (Vishnu Om), Joy Himuro (David Thepsenavong), and 8 grand- children. Also survived by his parents Toshiharu and Hozue Masuda, and his brother Wesley Masuda.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023.
