Katherine Tavares, 100, formerly of Texas and Hawaii, returned home to the Lord on October 29, 2022, in San Dimas, California. She was born in Speegleville, TX on May 23, 1922, to Bill L. and Matilda Reece, the 6th of 8 siblings.Katherine took care of children for 40 years and was known for her sweetness, gentleness, and loving kindness.
She is survived by her children: Cynthia (Richard) Marks and Thomas (Ann) Tavares; grandchildren: Casey Tavares, Jessica (Kevin) Reynolds, Michael (Sujin) Marks, Marc and Christopher Tavares; great grandson: Noah Marks. She was predeceased by her former husband Carl Tavares, and 3 sons: Richard, Robert, and David Tavares.
Private services were held in Texas at Bosqueville Cemetery.
