FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

CLAYTON K. KIMOTO
CLAYTON K. KIMOTO Clay was born on November 10, 1945, in Honolulu, Hawaii to Lawrence and Grace Kimoto. He passed away on November 1, 2022, at the Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu. He graduated from Kaimuki High School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa and received graduate degrees from Case Western Reserve University and Washington State University. He taught in Cleveland, Ohio and was a special education consultant for Alberta Education in Canada before returning to Hawaii to work for the Department of Education, Kapiolani and Leeward Community Colleges and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He went on to receive his law degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law and worked for the Office of the Public Defender before going into private practice.
Clay enjoyed reading, writing, jogging, sports, traveling abroad, and summer vacations on the neighbor islands with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jean; sons Evan (Elna) and Erich (Annie); and grand- children Keira, Bjorn and Emmitt. He was blessed with many uncles, aunties, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel on Saturday, February 11, visitation at 5:30 p.m. and service at 6:30 p.m. Casual attire.
