FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Daniel Kenji Tengan
Daniel Kenji TenganPassed away peacefully at home in Honolulu, Hawaii on October 31, 2022 at the age of 80. Daniel is preceded in death by his parents Dr. James Hoyei and Haruko Tengan and brother Paul Tengan of Fairbanks, Alaska. He graduated from Farrington High School in 1959 and from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in 1963. He was a Marine Corps Reserve Veteran serving from 1963-1969. He was a practicing Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Hawaii Association of Public Accountants (HAPA). He was a faithful member of Kalihi Baptist Church serving as trustee and treasurer for over 50 years. He supported and was a contributing member of Aza Gushikawa Doshi Kai, the Hawaii United Okinawa Association and the YMCA. Dan is survived by his loving wife, Diana; sisters, Eva (Jerry) Bohannon of Lebanon, Indiana; Edith Richardson of Bloomington, Indiana; brothers, James (Kazuko) Tengan of San Jose, California; David (Sharon Rouppet) Tengan; Peter Tengan; and Abraham (Pamela Ann) Tengan of Honolulu, Hawaii. A remembrance service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Valley of the Temples Lower Chapel. Visitation from 11am, service at 12pm. Inurnment at the Tengan family plot "Eternal Love" at 2pm.
