Sadao Honda passed away on December 2, 2022, at the age of 99. He will always be remembered as a man totally devoted to his beloved wife of 69 years, Jean Kisako Honda and to his deceased daughter Gail Ann Miyoko Honda (Kipp Martin). Sadao loved Hawaii high school sports and was a generous supporter of the athletic programs of Leilehua and Punahou schools. He was born in Wahiawa, Hawaii and as young man worked in the Honda Tofu-ya and attended Leilehua High School. After his Army service in WW II, he attended the University of Illinois and Northwestern University where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine. After graduating from Northwestern, being a local Wahiawa boy at heart, he returned to Wahiawa and served the Wahiawa community for many years as a dentist.
A Memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, February 8, 2023, in the Mauka Chapel at Mililani Memorial Park at 6:30 p.m. Visitation from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Food will be served in the Social Hall after the Memorial service. In lieu of Koden or flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Wahiawa.
