Age 96, died in Oakland, CA with his wife, Doris at his bedside. He was born in Covina, CA. He is survived by his wife Doris; son Kirk Pummill; daughter Teresa Pummill Redfield; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 4 stepchildren; Patti, Wendell, Evelyn and Philip Chu; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
Services will be held at All Souls Episcopal Church, in Berkeley, CA on 2/25/23, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, as Joe would wish, consider gifts to The Nature Conservancy or to Episcopal Peace Fellowship.
