Vivian's love for her family and children inspired her to develop the first 'Ohana Center at Kamilo'iki Elementary School. This would become the pioneer model for the Parent Community Networking Centers at every public school across the State of Hawai'i. Her love for children inspired her to dream big. Her leadership and warmth inspired the community to make it happen, changing the direction of family school partnerships and touching the lives of countless families and children. Vivian is survived by her husband, Dr. Gordon Ing; her children: Jeffrey (Wendy) Ing, Alan (Sheryl) Ing, Cherilyn (Kevin) Shiinoki; 6 grandchildren; sister Constance Seu, and brother Chester Shim. She was always loving and will always be loved.
