Born August 20, 1937, in Honolulu. He graduated from Roosevelt HS '56 and served in the U.S. Air Force from July 12, 1956 - July 11, 1960 where he was honorably discharged.
Donald worked at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Maintenance Department from January 8, 1964 - January 9, 2001. He became a Maintenance Supervisor in charge of the Tapa Tower.
Donald grew beautiful roses, loved tending to his tilapia and aquaculture system, going to home and away UH football games, and traveling parts of the world. He always said Hawaii was the best place.
He and Luena were married for 38 wonderful and happy years. Donald had a good life.
Along with his wife, he leaves behind his son, Jason Lum; sister Phyllis Mori, several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and a grand-nephew.
