James "Kimo" Ward, 80, of Honolulu, an Army veteran who served during World War II, died. He was born in Vermont. He is survived by daughter Cynthia, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Scattering of ashes: 10 a.m. Sept. 23 at Waikiki Beach, guard tower 2-E.
