FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

TADASHI KUNIMOTO
TADASHI KUNIMOTO A service celebrating the life of Tadashi (Tad) Kunimoto was held on March 16 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Tad was born on March 16, 1928 in Kapapala, the island of Hawaii, to Masaki and Momoe Kunimoto. Through the love and sacrifice of his parents, Tad graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Engineering. In Ann Arbor, he met his future wife, Elizabeth (Liz) Nakaeda, and they were married upon their graduation and returned to Hawaii on February 6, 1953. Tad worked at Pearl Harbor, the Federal Aviation Administration, and M & E Pacific, and was a consultant in mechanical engineering. He was highly regarded by architects, engineers, and clients for his excellent work in the designs of systems and for his character that adhered to strict safety codes that affected the buildings for years to come. The North Star of Tad's life was his commitment to God. For nearly half of his life, Tad had been a member of the Light of Awareness International Spiritual Family, headed by Divine Mother Audrey Kitagawa. He had the honor of traveling with Divine Mother and the Spiritual Family to Geneva and London, and to Ghana and Sri Lanka. On February 6, Tad and Liz celebrated their 60th, their Diamond Wedding Anniversary. On February 14, Valentine's Day, Tad left the body, attended in love by Liz and his sons. Valentine's Day was special to Tad, who always sent red roses to Liz, accompanied by an original poem. Carrying on his legacy of love are his wife, Liz; children, Lloyd (Kimi), Laverne (Dick Baker) and Brent (Cheryl); and five grandchildren, Daniel, Lili, Ben, Justin and Michelle.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
