Cleo Giavis Evans passed away March 5, 2013 at Vintage Coventry Senior Living in San Francisco. She was born in Boston on October 5, 1922 and moved to Honolulu in 1930. In 1942, she married Robert Harlan Evans her husband of 64 years. She is survived by her sons Harlan and Rob, three grandchildren Terrence Evans, Bridget Evans, and Adrienne Williams, and three great- grandchildren Ryan Evans, Megan Evans, and Zoe Williams. She is also survived by her first cousins Coralie Vellis and Thalia Tuohy and their many children and grandchildren. Her ashes will be scattered off Waikiki where she will join her husband who passed away December 6, 2006. We were truly blessed with wonderful parents and they will be missed by all. A private celebration of Cleo's life will be held in Honolulu in early June 2013. Cleo was well known for her enormous creative energy and talents, and for her accomplishments in classical piano, painting, cuisine, design, fashion, journalism, public relations and promotion, golf, Bridge, volunteer work, and her impeccable taste in all that she touched. She was truly a force of life and was loved and admired for it!
